Dark amber. When looked at from the side, it has an oak colouring about it, when looked at from above, it is more of a pine effect.
 
Smell:
A small amount of smoke, some rackiness and a whiff of citrus fruit.
 
Taste:
There's no burn, but it feels as though something is missing - it's very light. That doesn't make it a bad thing - quite the opposite in fact - but from something called 'legacy' you'd expect much more. There's a sweetness to it that reminds of marzipan and it's very dry.
 
Comments:
A very likable whisky, though it does leave a very dry aftertaste and has you reaching for the rehydration sooner than wanted.
